The only pair of pants you'll ever need!

Absolutely love the look and feel of the Woodsman Enduro Pants. I wore them to an outdoor Christmas lights show and an officer lady walked up to me and said she loved my tactical pants and where could she find a pair. I explained to her that they were actually adventure riding pants and she said she didn't care what they were that they looked better than any tactical pants she had ever seen. I told her that they were the most comfortable pants I had ever owned and that they were not loose and baggy like the Tru-Spec tactical pants I owned, but that they had the same type stretch out waistband. I have not purchased the boot leg version and I don't plan on sticking these in any expensive riding boots - they just look and fit great over your favorite pair of hiking/riding boots or trail shoes which I were them with on when riding my BMW 310GS or Honda Trail 125.

Good First Impression

I can only review these for initial quality because it’s cold and wet outside and I'm a weenie. I was expecting top-notch quality and these pants delivered. I went over them carefully and couldn’t find so much as a loose thread-end. They’re very comfy and stretchy in the right places. The fit is maybe a tad loose thru the thigh and knee, but I have spindly legs, so YMMV. They will easily accommodate knee pads or braces and have lots of material to tuck into your boots. I ordered 1 waist size up as the website suggested and I’m glad I did. The waist is snug, yet comfortable. The waist-band is magnificent. Very sturdy yet also flexible. It ain't gonna curl over on ya. Well done, Mosko.

Woodman pants!!

Excellent quality love them hopefully last a good few years. As stated sizes are small I went a size up normally 34 but went 36 and even though they were on the small size...So even 2 sizes up might be the key with wearing armor.
Excellent service as always from Mosko!!

The Woodsman is a technical softshell pant for enduro riding. It’s just as at home on tight Northwest woods singletrack as it is in the open desert or on extended ADV trips. The hybrid design puts a Schoeller waterproof / breathable material on the knees and seat for protection from wet brush, wet seats, and water crossings, while the DWR-coated nylon oxford upper provides excellent breathability.

There are four vents on the thighs, two cargo pockets for your wallet, phone, trail map, or clip knife, and two hand pockets that are ‘handy’ when you’re off the bike. The pockets all zip closed, so you won’t lose your valuables if you bounce off the trail. The Woodsman is cut to fit inside your boot for durability and grip and has ample stretchiness for maximum mobility. It’s either a ‘touring pant you can trail-ride in,’ or a ‘trail-riding pant you can tour in,’ depending on your perspective.

The Woodsman takes design inspiration from ski touring and alpine gear. The first thing you’ll notice is that it’s ‘stretchy.’ Not just in a few small panels, but everywhere. To complement the stretchiness, we articulated the patterns for athletic riding, and for alternating between a seated and standing riding position. The Woodsman pants are comfortable enough that minimalists can use the Woodsman as their only pair of pants on a multi-day trip.

They work on the bike and off, around the fire, and out for a beer. Dust and dirt are the only things that will give them away as riding pants. The Woodsman’s in-boot design allows you to grip the bike directly with your boot – without pinching fabric in the middle – which is how the bike-makers and boot-makers intended it. That’s why you rarely see off-road racers in over-the-boot pants. Unlike most in-boot pants however, the Woodsman has a full-length inseam, so you won’t get that ‘moto-capri’ look when your boots come off.

With the Woodsman, we’re breaking free from the convention that you need to wear waterproof ADV gear all the time. In most sports, when the rain stops the rain gear comes off. With ADV, many riders wear waterproof gear in every type of weather regardless of whether it’s raining or not. Even in the desert with no chance of rain, we see ADVers in head-to-toe waterproof clothes, trying to manage their heat problems in all sorts of creative ways. With the Woodsman, when the rain stops you can take off your rain gear and continue your trip in a stretchy, more breathable, more comfortable pant.

The Woodsman takes a hybrid approach to water management. The thighs and butt are fully waterproof with a 3-Layer Schoeller softshell, while the crotch and calves are membrane-free for maximum breathability. All the seams are taped, and the entire pant is treated with a Durable Water Repellant (DWR) coating, so light water beads up at the surface. There’s just enough water repellency for stream crossings, muddy puddles, dewy brush, and light rain, without causing heat problems on the rest of the ride.

We call the Woodsman a ‘90% pant,’ because 90% of the time it’s exactly what you need. In full-frontal rain, the Woodsman pairs with a packable over-the-boot rain layer like the Rak Overpant
