Job Title: 
Industrial Designer

Duties:
Design and develop gear and other products specifically for the off-road and dual-sport motorcycle market. Combine artistic talent with research on product use, marketing, and materials to create the most functional and appealing product design. Bring products, ranging from soft-sided motorcycle luggage and outerwear to hard parts, such as extruded, laser cut, bent, and injection molded metal and polymers, from concept to the marketplace. Work with designing concepts by hand rendering, 3D CAD modeling, and creation of initial prototypes using Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, Rhino 3D modeling and 2D/3D CAD systems. Work with skilled prototype fabricators to create workable, testable samples that can then be commercialized by vendor factories. Be involved in pattern making and create design specs with parts lists, measurements, material selections, color, logo design, and overall fitness, as well as label and packaging design and development of production specifications.

Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree or foreign degree equivalent in Industrial Design or a closely related field of study; and 5 years of professional experience in the job offered or similar relevant industrial design positions in the outdoor sports equipment industry designing packs and bags. Experience must include the following, which may have been gained concurrently: 5 years’ experience with Adobe Illustrator & Photoshop; 5 years’ experience with pattern-making software used for packs and bags; 5 years’ experience coordinating product manufacturing with overseas factories performing Radio-Frequency (RF) welding and cut/sew operations; 5 years’ experience developing outdoor sports equipment products that are successfully brought to market; 3 years of Rhino3D or equivalent 3D modeling program.
