The Woodsman is a technical softshell enduro pant that's just as at home on tight singletrack as it is in the open desert or extended ADV trips.
The Woodsman In-The-Boot Pant is a technical softshell pant for enduro riding. It’s just as at home on tight Northwest woods singletrack as it is in the open desert or on extended ADV trips. The hybrid design puts a Schoeller® waterproof / breathable material on the knees and seat for protection from wet brush, wet seats, and water crossings, while the DWR-coated nylon Oxford upper provides excellent breathability.

The Woodsman takes design inspiration from ski touring and alpine gear. The first thing you’ll notice is that it’s ‘stretchy.’ Not just in a few small panels but everywhere. To complement the stretchiness, we articulated the patterns for athletic riding and for alternating between a seated and standing riding position. They are comfortable enough that minimalists can use them as their only pair of pants on a multi-day trip. They work on and off the bike, around the fire, and out for a beer. Dust and dirt are the only things that will give them away as riding pants.
There are four vents on the thighs, two cargo pockets for your wallet, phone, trail map, or clip knife, and two hand pockets that are ‘handy’ when you’re off the bike. The pockets all zip closed, so you won’t lose your valuables if you bounce off the trail. The Woodsman is cut to fit inside your boot for durability and grip and has ample stretchiness for maximum mobility. Depending on your perspective, the Woodsman is a ‘touring pant you can trail-ride in' or a ‘trail-riding pant you can tour in.’
They work on the bike and off, around the fire, and out for a beer. Dust and dirt are the only things that will give them away as riding pants. The Woodsman’s in-boot design allows you to grip the bike directly with your boot – without pinching fabric in the middle – which is how the bike-makers and boot-makers intended it. That’s why you rarely see off-road racers in over-the-boot pants. Unlike most in-boot pants, the Woodsman has a full-length inseam, so you won’t get that ‘moto-capri’ look when your boots come off.
With the Woodsman, we’re breaking free from the convention that you need to wear waterproof ADV gear all the time. In most sports, the rain gear comes off when the rain stops. With ADV, many riders wear waterproof gear in every type of weather, regardless of whether it’s raining or not. Even in the desert with no chance of rain, we see ADVers in head-to-toe waterproof clothes, trying to manage their heat problems in all sorts of creative ways. With the Woodsman, you can take off your rain gear and continue your trip in stretchy, breathable, comfortable pants when the rain stops.
The Woodsman takes a hybrid approach to water management. The thighs and butt are fully waterproof with a 3-Layer Schoeller softshell, while the crotch and calves are membrane-free for maximum breathability. All the seams are taped, and the entire pant is treated with a Durable Water Repellant (DWR) coating, so light water beads up at the surface. There’s just enough water repellency for stream crossings, muddy puddles, dewy brush, and light rain without causing heat problems for the rest of the ride. We call the Woodsman a ‘90% pant,’ because 90% of the time it’s exactly what you need.
Our apparel is designed to fit true to size over body armor – no need to size up; we've done the math for you.

Constructed from 95% Nylon, 5% Spandex, 320d x 480d featuring Schoeller C-change™ waterproof breathable technology, the Woodsman has stretchy construction that provides an articulated and comfortable on-bike fit

Four zippered thigh vents (two front, two rear) provide high airflow and easy on-bike opening and closing, meaning you can dial in your temperature while riding in changing conditions.

Two zippered cargo pockets provide ample storage for phone, wallet, or knife, keeping important items close at hand on and off the bike. Two additional lined hand pockets provide comfort when your riding gloves come off.

Another great Mosko Moto product, the Woodman Pants have become my goto ride accessory for city or deep off road bit of essential kit. Appreciate the quality, the great design, but most importantly, the fit and durability, whether I’m one day, or one week from civilization.
You know when you get a piece of gear and you can tell whoever designed it rides and uses it? This is the Woodman pant. Every feature and detail has been thought through for ADV riders by ADV riders. This is truly one of the best ADV pants on the market.
Just finished an awesome experience racing RedBull Romaniacs on an ADV bike. This was the first year with and ADV specific class. I brought three full kits to Romania for the race. Work horse light jerseys and the surveyor pants. Combo was perfect for the fast pace and long days on the bike. With some 95 Deg plus days it was great to have some air flowing through the vented kits! I ran the Apecat harness with a 3 liter bladder, plenty of room to carry my essentials for the day and best part was I didn't think about the pack once after I put it on. It stayed in place, didn't create tension on shoulders or hips. 6+ hours with it on 4 days straight racing and no issues. Thanks for the great products, they will be first on the list for the next adventure!
I've been in a search for pants that would would cover 80% of my riding and I think the Woodsman Enduro Pants are it. I currently own Klim Badlands Pro jacket and pants which are great but too bulky and heavy for offroad riding and walking around. I also purchased pair of Klim Dakar pants for hot weather riding but wanted something little more comfortable that I could wear when I get off the bike around camp.
I am located in Australia and have not come across anyone that owns a pair so I could see them in real life so I was a little hesitant especially as I could not try one for size. I reached out to Mosko who confirmed sizing is similar to Klim which is exactly right so I went ahead with my purchase. I have now worn these pants on few rides and LOVE them!!! So comfortable, functional with multiple pockets and when coupled with base layer can be worn in reasonably cold weather 6C (43F). Without baselayer anything from 15C (59F) is fine for me.
I had some drizzle on one of my rides and the pants did a great job of shedding water so this was an added bonus. Another great feature is there is provision for a belt which not many pants come with.
I will be purchasing Mosko's Barfly pants just as an insurance policy when the heavens open and also as an additional layer at those cold desert mornings.
This is my second Mosko garment (Surveyor Soft Shell Jacket was first) and I think I am converted and already saving for more gear.
Thank you Mosko team for not only providing great products but awesome customer service.
Cheers from Australia!!!
