The Basilisk is our waterproof/breathable enduro-touring kit, for long-distance, multi-day trips through primarily off-road terrain. It combines super-premium materials with clean lines and minimalist design. With an articulated fit for freedom of motion and easy layering, the Basilisk is designed to work with separate body systems for superior protection and versatility.
The Basilisk is incredibly waterproof and incredibly breathable. The body fabric is an abrasion-resistant eVent Expedition 3-layer, using eVent’s proprietary direct venting technology. It’s waterproof to 30,000mm on the water column (100 feet of water pressure), with an MVTR of 10,000 g/m/d, .06cfm air permeability, and DWR. It’s the only waterproof moto pant with air permeability, plus it has the highest waterproof ratings of any moto pant we’ve seen.
On the knees, we added SuperFabric ceramic platelets on a 600D waterproof/breathable base, sewn as an overlay on the main body eVent for added strength. With two-layers of fabric, you can damage the outer layer and still stay dry. Our zippers are top-of-the-line water repellent YKK Vislon Aquaguard: they won’t clog with dust and grime, and they’re easy to operate one-handed with gloves.
The Basilisk is light, nimble, and breathable, with the basic pockets and vents you need and nothing else. We eliminated hanging liners entirely, reducing weight, bulk, and heat. There are two thigh pockets, two knee scoop vents, two huge thigh vents, and two exhaust vents behind the leg. In hot weather: open all the vents and the cooler outside air envelop your upper thigh.
The Basilisk pant includes a sturdy old-school leather belt for waist adjustability, which works both on and off the bike. By opening the calf expansion zippers, tall people can add an additional 2” to the inseam – increasing it from 32” to 34.” The leg openings are adjustable too, with waterproof internal gussets and overlapping Velcro flaps.

Just got the pants and had a chance to check out on a few rides. Want to share my pros and cons..
-AMAZING venting. For the first time I can actually feel vents that make a difference. The knee vents are key, and the large thigh vents are great along with the overall breathability of the e-vent
-zippers are all super nice and easy to use, never snag
-I personally love having belt loops. Not just for a belt but for keys when walking around
-the super fabric feels great
-there’s extra room in the knees for knee pads/braces
-the leg extension zone on the calf works well but adds bulk. I would prefer the ability just to order standard or long length sizes. But I’m sure this helps keep inventory down so I understand it.
-the leg cuff is Velcro (which does work really well) but I personally prefer snaps. Definitely not a deal breaker and something I’m already used to.
-I wish the bottom “cuff opening” went higher up the calf. When layered up it can be kind of a pain to bunch your pants up enough to put on your boots and then pull the pants down over them.
So overall I still love these pants and recommend them. My biggest pro is the venting. My biggest con is the leg extension (would just be better without it)
Great pants that actually fit. Love the expansion gusset, very helpful for us long leg riders. Keep up the great work Mosko!
Exactly what I expected. Light weight, havent crash tested it yet and dont plan on doing that anytime soon. LOL But I never plan to do that. :-/
Pro: Light, perfect fit, looks good, 1st class quality feeling.
Cons: The closing 'hooks' seems fragile, normal snap buttons would have been better, lasted longer and been easier to operate. The 'two length' solution is nice on paper, but adds bulk to the lower leg and looks stupid IMHO. Offering the pants in two lenghts would have been better.I miss a zipper at the lower leg opening, to avoid having to operate the velcro each time.
Thank you Mosko Moto. I absolutely love my Basilisk pants. Fit, finish, comfort and protection is truly top notch. The feeling I get wearing my pants riding, camping, and even hiking off the bike.... they just fit every purpose! My mom said I shouldn't tell this story... but last year in Europe during a 2 week period I was mostly off road, I never changed. Your pants were there for my adventure riding on hot days, cold days, rainy days and more. I wore them camping, hiking, and when I stopped for supplies....
I love they hide my MX boots and stops the rain running down inside. Take my boots off, zip up the pants, put on my hiking shoes and there I was just in nature with my adventure pants.
Recently, I was involved in a serious road accident and my old pants didn't survive but protected me,,, and thank you for getting me back into a new pair:) I only buy the best gear.... I ride hard and I am forever a Mosko Moto rider.
I'm 5' 9" with an inseam of 32".... I sometimes wish they were a little longer and I am not tall. That's truly my only input.
Your pants took me through 20 countries last year and I am looking forward to many more adventures on and off the bike wearing your product. Thanks again.
