The Phase CE-2 Hip Short is our low-profile, breathable armored short, featuring CE Level-2 impact protection. It offers a high level of protection in a minimal, lightweight form, designed for multi-day ADV trips and enduro-touring missions. The open mesh and unique armor design allow maximum airflow and breathability in a compression short built from premium materials, providing comfort on long-distance rides.

DESIGN

We approached this armor design knowing we wanted a minimalist, lightweight compression short that easily integrates in your kit under pants and base layers, and remains comfortable for full days of riding in any conditions.

Our compression short is constructed from open mesh, moisture wicking compression fit polyester, and spandex, providing a snug compression fit that stays firmly in place, with superior comfort while riding.

Mosko Moto partnered with RHEON™ LABS for our CE-Level 2 amor inserts. RHEON™ Armor is made from a lightweight and pliable energy-absorbing superpolymer that intelligently stiffens when subjected to force. The name Phase 2, is a reference to the phase-changing capability of the armor. In its natural state, RHEON™ Armor it’s flexible and soft, but it firms up instantly to absorb energy in a crash.

RHEON™ LABS uses a patented algorithmic design and 3D printing process that produces a unique open cell packing design that allows for impact absorption, while still allowing air to naturally flow through the armor and around the rider. The end result is lightweight, comfortable, and cool armor that can be worn all day.

Just finished the orbdr in 105 deg days and short had great air flow and saved my hips on a couple of crashes on cash mountain… highly recommend!!!

Love Mosko, but…

I’m a huge Mosko Moto fan & customer. Purchased their new knee and hip protectors. Both are reasonably cool in warm weather and the CE2 padding stays in place. However, I do not like the hip protectors for my anatomy and will now use the in-pant hip armor. The Mosko underwear style hip padding provides no protection for high a pelvis. My experience is based on a sizable crash. The only bodily damage was a bruise on my pelvis above the hip joint (was also wearing Alpinestars Tech Air Off Road vest.) Mosko is replacing the torn Reckless 80 parts. Going forward I will now use in-pant armor that provides more coverage higher up where I need it most.

This product was designed for minimal coverage in CE-rated impact zones. We do plan to include higher coverage impact proteciton products with more padding in the future.

Hip protection for days!

Recently finished an 8 day trip in North Vietnam. Plenty of low speed offs, the protection around the hip area is fantastic. Would buy again but think they are made that we’ll be hard to destroy them. Also loved that the pads are easy to remove and makes washing easy even when you can only was your gear in a shower.

Fitment

Quality is very good protection also very good however fitment is an issue I ordered XL in the hips and Xl in the the knees as advised with your fitment chart and while hips fit okay? The knees were too tight on the calves and too loose on the quads meaning within five minutes they slipped out of place and were less than useless
I don’t know why there’s no option for an all in one garment this would fix the problem straight off. I probably will have to bring it to a seamstress or upholsterer of some sort to mend them together because even if they did fit, they would eventually lose their elasticity overtime regardless of the anti-slip strips added with the slightly weighty knee pads these at the moment are the only worthwhile investment in the market but fall short in design here’s to hoping update them soon
