Perfect!

I got the Jackaloft Insulated Jacket before riding the CO-BDR this past fall. Wearing it early morning, afternoons and at hi altitude under my armor was a game changer. It pack so small that during the day I can put it away inside the main compartment of my wildcat backpack with out need to use the beaver tail at all. I didn't need anything else on top of it while cooking or enjoying the stars at night when camping. Is perfect to wear it to go out for dinner. I started my ski season at summit county this week and I'm using it all around, during the day I folded inside the pocket and put it in the google pocket of my ski jacket to have it handy, I ended using it last Tuesday on a windy day at keystone, so warm and was my second layer under my Shell jacket.

Comfortable and warm for the brisk evenings!

The sun is quickly going down and it's about to get cold - what do I reach for? My headlamp, throat coat tea, camp chair and my Jackaloft Insulated Jacket. The headlamp because there's a real joy to having it your pocket when you need it, and not waiting until it's dark and having to use your phone flashlight to dig it out of your bag. Throat coat tea? Well the dust from the trail doesn't do my throat any favors, and It's a great comfort drink to start the evening activities. Camp chair? These dogs are barkin' and someone has made a fire so it's time for the ride stories to begin. Last but not least - my Jackaloft insulated jacket - It's proven to be an awesome jacket for around the fire, or in the shoulder seasons, especially in the high desert or mountains where the temperature drops quickly when the sun goes down. It's lighter than my heavy puffy jackets but allows room for layers below so I can regulate as needed. All around, this jacket is a staple for a nice cozy evening outside! Not on a riding adventure but still want to experience the highs of feeling like you are?? Grab your jacket, go out on your porch at night, zip up the jackaloft and enjoy the good life.

Second Jackaloft !

After my son ride with me a couple of weeks ago and use mine, he was driving me crazy to get one for him, it has the perfect balance, super light, amazing insulation, really thin as an under layer, great quality and stylish. Perfect combo for a rider, it does what exactly it is for.

Jack's back! Introducing the redesigned Jackaloft Insulated Jacket. We started with the same exceptional insulation and focused on improving both mobility and weather protection. By utilizing a stretch 20D ripstop fabric, along with a refined fit, we delivered superior freedom of movement, while a dry microporous fabric and DWR coating provide additional protection against light weather and precipitation.

In addition to the upgrades, the Jackaloft remains true to itself; a super low profile, exceptionally warm, and highly packable insulation layer that's cleverly disguised in a classic overshirt design. Casually styled to seamlessly integrate between riding, travel, and town, the Jackaloft is as versatile as it is functional.

One of the biggest challenges we face as motorcyclists is how to layer up without making our riding kits so bulky that we can’t move around. Another challenge is that body armor, a shell, and constant wind pressure while riding can compress your insulation, removing its loft and reducing its warmth. To combat this the Jackloft uses body-mapped fully synthetic PrimaLoft® Gold insulation with Cross Core technology. This high-tech insulation combines PrimaLoft's top-of-the-line fibers with aerogel, to provide 52% more warmth than the same weight of PrimaLoft® Gold alone while using 90% post-consumer recycled materials. Originally developed by NASA, aerogel is composed of more than 95% air and is the lightest solid material known to man. It’s also one of the most effective insulation materials ever made. When integrated directly into synthetic fibers, aerogel dramatically enhances warming. Aerogel-enhanced synthetic fibers will resist compression to retain their warmth when wet or in contact with heavy outer garments better than any other insulation. This ultra-techy insulation allows the Jackaloft to pack a huge amount of warmth into a very unassuming package. Providing both no-bulk warmth while riding and preserving precious pack space when stowed.

In short, the Jackaloft is extremely lightweight, remarkably warm, highly compressible, and now offers more weather resistance and a new fit using stretch materials for better mobility.
