Here in the Pacific Northwet, we take waterproofing seriously. The Hood is the only waterproof, quick-access tank bag on the market. There are no zippers to jam (and eventually fail), no roll-tops to unfurl. Just unclip the buckle, flip the lid, and you’re in. It’s the easiest-access waterproof tank bag we’ve ever used. It includes two handy internal organizers for little things, like charging cables and earplugs.
In 2020, we refreshed the design of the Hood with a Hypalon MOLLE panel and upgraded interior materials.
*Important update: New for 2021 the Hood Tank Bag and harness have been updated to an "SJ buckle" system, and will not be compatible with the older "Ghost Eye buckle" tank bag harness. We spent two+ years developing the Hood, testing every type of waterproof closure we could find. We needed something simple and strong enough for a tank bag, that will continue working even after thousands of uses in dusty, abusive conditions. We even spent 6 months experimenting with kayak hatches. The hatches turned out to be a bit of a rabbit hole, but they gave us the idea for the Hood.
The Hood achieves its waterproofing through a welded-seam, waterproof clamshell lid (we call it a ‘hood’) that rests on an equally waterproof, welded-seam base. The hood pushes against a strip of piping that runs 360 degrees around the base. There’s a rain gutter just below the piping that stops any water that tries to work its way up the sides. We even tested it with a pressure washer at the car wash, and everything inside stayed bone dry!
The inside of the Hood features a large, open main compartment, with two removable sewn-seam wallets for things like cables, headphones, batteries, and credit cards. There’s a charging cable and headphone pass-through port, so you can connect your phone and electronic accessories directly to the battery.
On the top of the bag, you'll find a Hypalon MOLLE Panel for adding MOLLE accessories like our waterproof Map Pocket or Navigator Cell Phone Pocket.

Great piece of gear!
I got the (blemished) Hood tank and I could not be more satisfied. Well designed and well built. I’m looking forward to putting it to some hard use. I know it’ll be up to the task.

Blemished Hood Tank Bag
I am retired now but I used to supervise a sew shop for WADNR manufacturing Wildland Fire Packs for use statewide. I inspected the item closely and couldn't find any defects. This is my second tank bag of the same make and model. I got tired of swapping bags to my KTM 350 EXC-F from my 690 Enduro R and purchased this bargain basement priced item and I am very pleased with my purchase. I informed a riding buddy about the deal and he ordered one too. Mosko Service is awesome! I received the item in two days out here on the wet side of the Olympic Penninsula.

Does what it's supposed to. Came without a harness and missing an internal organizer. Support was quick to send a harness but wouldn't send the organizer. The defect is on the right side where it bows inward. Easily gets corrected once you fill it and is not noticeable with the hood down. Missing the one organizer is disappointing but other than that I'm liking it.
