The outer clamshell of the Hood Tail Bag features bomber waterproof seam-welded 840D TPU construction that keeps the elements at bay—whether dirty and dusty, wet and muddy, or anything else you can throw at it. The top clamshell interfaces with the equally waterproof, welded-seam base to create a tightly sealed, weatherproof tail luggage solution.

As with its tank bag counterpart, the Hood Tail Bag allows easy opening and accessing contents via two glove-friendly buckles and a flip of the lid. The design allows riders to keep regularly used items close at hand without the need to de-kit or unpack luggage to access them. The lid is designed with a lock bar for our Compact ADV Lock, providing security for packed items while off the bike. For longer stints off the bike, release the four gatekeeper camlock buckles to remove the Hood Tail Bag and carry it to the tent or motel with the attached carry handle. 

The top of the outer lid includes a Hypalon MOLLE panel, making it easy to customize your kit and add in MOLLE pouches, our First Aid Kit, or many other accessories for quick access. The top lid also provides a 25mm helmet hook for easy stowage when off the bike. For those riders who have passengers, there's a removable matrix foam lumbar support pad on the leading side of the Hood. Attached via velcro panel, you can simply remove it if you don't need it. 

The spacious dimensions of the main compartment allow for the transport of a helmet, jacket, or other bulky items. We've included a fleece-lined divided internal organizer that attaches with velcro panels, allowing customization of the dividers. We find this setup works well for neatly organizing camping gear, cooking equipment, food, water bottles, and other items that might require stuff sacks or organization pouches within other bags. There's a stow-able stretch lycra zippered dust cover over the fleece divider, providing an extra layer of protection over gear while the Hood is open. The inside of the top of the lid features a zippered document pocket that can keep important items like paper maps or bike documents safe and dry while still being quick access. A charging cable pass-through allows you to route your device cables through the Hood to plug them into on-bike power sources. 

The compression molded ballistic foam base of the Hood Tail Bag universally mounts to rear ADV luggage racks by sliding a webbing sleeve over the end of the rack and strapping the Hood in place with 25mm gatekeeper camlock buckles.
