When temperatures drop and trail riding is at its best, sometimes a hardshell is too much, and a jersey doesn’t quite cut it. The Surveyor Jacket fills that gap. Wind resistant and highly breathable, the Surveyor Jacket is built for high-output riding in cooler temps.

Made from durable stretch Cordura® for increased abrasion and snag resistance for those close calls and unexpected get-offs, while the 4-way stretch materials offer premium comfort and mobility. Cut for a close-to-body over armor fit, the Surveyor Jacket can be worn with or without armor, making it a solid choice on the trail or at the trailhead.

DESIGN

The Surveyor Jacket is right at home in the woods on long rides as the days grow shorter or chasing a receding snow line as the season gets underway. DWR water protection and wind resistance keep you comfortable in mild weather.

Two oversized mesh-lined hand pockets double as vents with flow-through venting. With one external and one internal chest pocket to keep essentials close at hand. Inspired by road and mountain biking bibs, the lumbar game pocket features three internal pockets for on-body storage. These pockets sit low enough to be compatible with our Wildcat Backpacks, and you can load them up for added storage on big days.

Better than expected!

I was skeptical when I ordered this but
I am more than happy. Works perfectly over armor shirts/jackets and even has enough stretch capability to fit over my mesh armored road jacket and acts as a great wind barrier on cooler mornings . Open the vents and you’re good to go when it heats up. Great piece of gear !!!!

Good, lightweight jacket

So far, so good with the lightweight surveyor soft shell jacket. It’s even lighter than I anticipated but blocks wind nicely and a normal size was good to fit over some lightweight off road armor.

Shockingly great, light jacket

Where I live I can't really complain about it being too cold, but in the winter it can be in the 30's or 40's on your way out to the trails in the morning. Last weekend I went for a twisty road ride with two buddies, the ride out to the desert was a fairly consistent 48 degrees. To paint the picture, one guy was in a full size Klim ADV jacket, the other in Klim suit head to toe. I was just wearing the Surveyor, with Workhorse Jersey and my Leatt 3DF Airfit armor underneath. Pretty much any time they could they were asking me if and how I was not freezing, all i know is this thin and comfy little coat does a great job of blocking chilly wind, and retaining heat you have built up in your armor and jersey beneath. Great Jacket. If you need a wind stopping, heat trapping abrasion layer for those cold rides out in the morning, the Surveyor will surprise!

Surveyor Jacket

Just did the AZbdr with it and was a perfect layer in the mornings and comfort all day with plenty of ventilation when the temps finally got there . Look forward to adding more gear to the list !
