Replacement Swivel Straps

Size

Great to have in your field repair kit or to replace an already broken strap. Even if you just need one for replacement it's a good idea to have a backup when you're out on a ride.

These straps are used on the sides of the Backcountry Panniers (V2.1 and newer) to retain the roll-top. Similarly, they're also used on the sides of the Reckless 80L, Reckless 40L, and Alpine 60L legs to retain the side drybag roll-tops.

  • Each Backcountry Pannier requires 2 Male straps (4 per bike)
  • Each Reckless 80L harness requires 2 Male and 2 Female straps
  • Each Reckless 40L harness requires 2 Male and 2 Female straps
  • Each Alpine 60L harness requires 2 Male and 2 Female straps

But please be sure to select the right buckle style (SJ or Ghost Eye), based on your actual bag. Check out the blue image to the left, and if you're still not sure exactly what you need, Give us a shout!

Customer help was prompt and efficient

Swivel broke during a harsh offroad activity. One mail to customer support triggered immediate reaction and in a day or do the sent me a replacement. Incredible.

Having said that - that plastic swivel thing should be replaced and probably simplified in the future versions. Quiet a few FB posts were reporting similar problem, this thingy is weak.

Replacement Swivel Strap

Thank you Team Mosko Moto for coming to my rescue after I boneheadedly burned one of the male clasps on my Reckless 80s v3 side holsters on the exhuast pipe. By doing so it meant I wasn't able to either secure or close one of my side dry bags in what was one of the wettest Augusts on record in Maine! I contacted Ashley who had just left Maine and arrived in Chicago for the IMS bike show. She told me to contact the customer support team via email. I did and Silke damn near immediately replied with photos of the two different types of clasp types asking which ones were on my bags. I left her know which clasp my unit had and within a few days they had shipped me the replacement strap w the male clasp to where I was staying in Maine. I snapped it onto the original swivel snap and was able to get moving again as I am starting my sixth year as a full-time motorcycle gypsy.

Thank you Pete, Ash, and the entire customer support team at Mosko Moto. You are all customer service super stsrs✨.

They survived the canning stock route Western Australia

Only thing i would change is the top beaver tail G clip it broken almost straight away. Replaced it with a plastic sea to summit repair buckle and its strong as. Otherwise the reckless 80 bags are just as perfect as my V1 reckless40’s. Mosko make excellent stuff.

Worth it

Just took the Reckless 80 on an grand international adventure for 9 months of almost daily use. So easy to use, even in unfoetunate roadside repair situations, the ease of popping off the whole harness and putting it back on was so so great. A few times I went down and the bags saved my legs and they came out with hardly a scratch. My only concern - i have the bags on a 2025 himalayan 450. The bike leans over so far on the kickstand the bags hang too close and too heavy to the exhaust. After 9 months, the very bottom of the aux pocket is starting to touch and melt. The provided heat shield is not compatible with the Himalayan's stock heat shield. Still very happy with the quality, the size, the setup, everything. My husband *does not* have the same problem on his KLR 650.
