Backcountry Pannier Mounting Frame (Single)

Latch Style

This Glass-Filled Nylon mounting frame is great for setting up a second bike, or replacing a damaged part. Sold Individually. Hardware included to mount frame to bag.

Available with either the current Speed-Pin or older rotary draw latch preinstalled. Be sure to select the latch style that matches your existing wedge. Wedge not included.

NOTE: The older style HDPE mounts (pre-July 2016) are not compatible with the current glass-filled nylon frame and wedge parts. We no longer stock replacement HDPE parts, so it's time to upgrade your panniers with a Retrofit Kit. It's much stronger, and you will love the Speed-Pin latch system! Not sure which style you have? Check for the molded 'honeycomb pattern' pictured below. The HDPE mounts didn't have it.

Outstanding Customer Service

Was involved in a very serious hit & run. That in returned severely damages my Mosko Moto bags and races.

They worked with me on replacing my duffle. And one of the pannier racks that was also broken.

Would never buy anything but Mosko Moto! Best of the best!!

Satisfied with the Back country pannier mounting frame

Recently I was on a trip to Ladakh, pretty much the highest riding terrain in the world and on my way back I got caught between two rocks and turning my bike at an acute angle I ripped one of the mounting frames of my BMW Atacama soft panniers. I was stilll a good 1000 kms away from home so I was worried about how will I carry a broken pannier back. But it was an easily sorted by tying the entire pannier to the bike frame and it all held together all the way back beautifully . For that reason I have now ordered the pannier locks as well wfich can come handy in multiple ways. Anyhow, upon my return I checked with BMW and I wasn’t surprised when they said that they don’t stick spare mounting frames. So I reached out to Mosko Moto and enquired if the frame which they sell would fit on the Atacama as they manufacture and supply to BMW. To my delight , the customer service was prompt and absolutely clear and precise , the ordering process was a breeze and the product was delivered all the way to India in 5 days flat. The site even took care of import duties and taxes in the final payment which is a delight. It was as easy and seamless as ordering from a local store. The instructions to replace the part were idiot proof and all the nuts and screws and washers were accompanied. In 15 mins my entire pannier luggage system was as good as new.

This was my second purchase from Mosko Moto , and the entire experience is a delight. The products are better than the website descriptions and are of indestructible quality. I am a big fan of Mosko Moto .

Excellent Equipment made for serious riding!

After riding DR's, XLs, GSA, KLR, KTM for 30 years the Mosco bags, accessories and equipment had backcountry in mind! I've crunched and dinged aluminum panniers, dealt with packs, tough bags and strap down bags but the Mosco bags hold up in some tough conditions. Not to mentions the customer service that keeps me on the trails. thanks, I will always run with Mosko and apparel is top quality.

Versatility and durability, at a price

I've owned Mosko panniers for many years and have different panniers I mount on them.
I now have the wedge on 3 bikes and have 3 sets of panniers: Mosko Backcountry, Tusk medium aluminum, and Tusk large aluminum.
I can mount any of these on a 850GS, 1200GS, or 790 Adventure. This setup is perfect for me because I can use the bags or boxes that best fit my trip or all three of them when I travel with others.
When I've changed a bike it has been east to move the wedge to the new bike and adapt it to any rack. They've been on Tusk racks, Givi racks, SW Motech racks, and Touratech racks.
They've been on an Africa Twin, a CB500X, KTM790, R1200GS, F850GS.
While it isn't cheap to set this up initially, I expect it to be something I never have to worry about again.

Excellent frame for backcountry luggage, crash tested

The backcountry mounting frame is excellent. I have taken it thousands of miles, some through expert sections of the NEBDR. I hit the left pannier (the only time the pannier has ever fallen off) on a tree, and it broke the mounting bracket. This actually worked out well, because my luggage rack and pannier were undamaged and the bracket is far easier to replace and wire up with safety wire to finish a trip. Great design. Very durable and secure. Very pleased.
