Beta's dirt bikes have been growing on us. Within the walls of our HQ, there are now 4 Beta four-stroke dual sports and 3 Beta two-stroke trail bikes. Here are some reasons we dig them.

1. Betas Come From The Factory Tuned For Performance

Environmental regulations in the US dictate that emissions goals override performance numbers. Bikes from brands like KTM, Husqvarna, Kove, Honda, and others generally need tuning like an ECU and pipe to realize their full power output, after being restricted at the factory. Brands like Beta and Sherco produce their bikes in lower quantities, which allows them to skirt the highest level of scrutiny from EPA, CARB, and DOT. Simply put: the motors are spicer from the factory. 🌶️

2. They Have Some Great Stock Parts

This is more true of the Beta Race Edition bikes, but the standard Betas are set up pretty nicely as well. For the Race Edition bikes in particular, they arrive from the factory with 48mm Kayaba Suspension, dual compound sprockets, aggressive alloy foot pegs, Excel Rims, safety wire-ready anodized engine plugs, and other premium parts like anodized axle pulls.

If you're a person that loves to farkle-out your dirtbike yourself, get a standard Beta. If you're looking for a kitted out factory bike, its hard to go wrong with the Race Edition bikes.

3. The Ergonomics

We don’t know if its the bars, the pegs, the seat, or a combo of all of them; but from day one, our Betas felt ergonomically dialed. Riders praise the riding position, weight balance, subframe-grip, and bike-to-rider feel. Whatever Beta is doing, they're doing it right.

4. The Price Is Right!

Historically, Betas have been cheaper than other manufacturers, like KTM and Husky. Of course, that could change, given the changing pricing in vehicle and motorcycle markets, as well as the recent changes coming to KTM, Husky, and Gas Gas. But especially when combined with the impressive factory parts and tuning, the Beta is hard to beat on price alone.

Love, love, love, this review of Beta’s! Been thinking about jumping ship from KTM and had Beta’s on the list to consider.
