A classically trained road tripper convinced all food tastes better without cell service.

Corn fed and Midwest-bred — that’s me. A classically trained road tripper convinced all food tastes better without cell service. As soon as I graduated high school, I let my hobbies dictate my home. From Wyoming, Colorado, Montana, Alabama to Michigan, I found possibility and pleasure in wild places. I’m a big fan of things with wheels. It started with bikes, then trucks, then motorcycles. All three modes of transportation currently take up too much space in my garage. Motorcycles won me over for their practicality: they’re cheap to buy, cheap to fix, and hard to beat for raw adventure on a budget — especially if you don’t mind wearing the same clothes for two weeks.
My career as a creative followed an unconventional path. It started with cold-calling magazines with wacky story ideas until a few editors finally said yes. I scratched out a living as a freelancer – from farming, flipping burgers, to flying planes, there’s always a story to tell. Freelancing eventually opened the door to Garmin, where I helped lead creative campaigns across outdoor, fitness, and marine. After several years, it was time to switch gears. The opportunity to work with a brand I’d admired from afar seemed too good to be true. Now that I’m here, it feels like all my random skill sets have come full circle. I get to work with some of the brightest minds in the industry and raise my family in the Columbia River Gorge. Did I mention we get to ride a bunch? Not a bad place to land.
