Facilities, Showroom, and Mototel Manager
"Without ever camping off of a motorcycle, I packed up and set out on a cross-country ride from Wyoming to Pennsylvania."
From a very young age, I have always been fascinated by the wonders and mysteries of the natural world. I was born and raised in the Gettysburg area of Pennsylvania where I spent my childhood and formative years camping, hiking, backpacking, and fostering my appreciation for the outdoors.
After high school, I went on to study and pursue a career in Outdoor Recreation and Environmental Interpretation at Penn State University. After completing my bachelor’s degree and internship, I moved to Jackson Hole, WY where I spent 10 years on a wonderfully interesting journey of work and play with many different outdoor recreation-based agencies and companies.
I have been a river guide, a fly fishing guide, construction laborer, and a ranch hand in the summers while also exploring the Tetons and surrounding areas climbing, hiking, and backpacking. For the winters I spent my days skiing and worked nights at JHMR as a winch-cat operator/groomer. I met Pete through a mutual friend on a trip to the PNW in 2015. I had always wanted to get into riding motorcycles, and after hearing some of his stories, I decided it was time to buy a bike. I found a 530exc in need of a lot of work and knew I could be the one to bring it back to its former glory. I had a lot of fun fixing it up and learning the fundamentals of riding on the street and dirt with that machine.
In 2020 I came up to White Salmon for the summer to help Pete set up the Bates Mototel and met a lot of the Mosko Team during that time. I had been dreaming of owning an adventure bike and out of a bit of luck, coincidence, and good timing, Andrew sold me his Africa Twin. I took it back to Wyoming with me and had a blast riding it for the rest of the Summer. That November, without ever camping off of a motorcycle, I packed up and set out on a cross-country ride from Wyoming to Pennsylvania. It was one of my favorite adventures of my life and look forward to traveling internationally in the coming years.
