A good fitting riding pant!

I really like the fit of this paint and that I don’t feel like I’m walking around in giant snow boarding pants. I am not particularly fond of the grey color though. It would be so much better if it was a true black. If the colors got dialed in on these pants they would be perfect.

Comfortable and great quality

Used these pants for a 4 day camping trip and they were very comfortable while riding on highway, trails, and also at the campsite... really happy with them

Awesome pant, missing a Velcro strap on one side.

Wore these pants over the course of about 250 miles to test comfort. Temps were perfect (high 60s to 80s on the NorCal/SoOr coast) and these never made me sweat. Super durable feeling and just the perfect amount of stretch. I plan on taking these all around Oregon’s backroads this summer and looking forward to testing longevity. These did feel tight when I first put them on (I have a 29” waist and ordered the size 30) but loosened up on the ride and fit like a glove. Next go around, add armor pockets? Also, I bought a pair for my husband as well and his came missing one of the Velcro waist cinch straps (like it wasn’t sewn in the waist line?) but they fit tight enough that he decided it wasn’t worth sending back.

Woodsman Enduro Pant - loving them

Bought the Woodsman Enduro Pant because I was looking for a riding pant for my Husky 701 based adventure rides. Trying to not look like Billy Bolt when rolling into a town for a quick lunch or a bar for a drink at the end of a long day. They are well fitting and comfortable. Venting seems great and the pockets are useful and well thought out. Nice to carry a cell phone and wallet and pocket knife without being bulky or feeling like that stuff will get crushed.
I normally wear a 32 pant, I'm 5'9" 160 lbs and the 32 fits great. Even bought the belt and love the belt loops and ability to add that. They feel like moto pant and you don't look like you just came off course from a hard enduro.

Size Guide >

The Woodsman is a technical softshell pant for enduro riding. It’s just as at home on tight Northwest woods singletrack as it is in the open desert or on extended ADV trips. The hybrid design puts a Schoeller® waterproof / breathable material on the knees and seat for protection from wet brush, wet seats, and water crossings, while the DWR-coated nylon Oxford upper provides excellent breathability.

(Note: The current Woodsman Pant fits true-to-size. Our previous delivery ran small.)

There are four vents on the thighs, two cargo pockets for your wallet, phone, trail map, or clip knife, and two hand pockets that are ‘handy’ when you’re off the bike. The pockets all zip closed, so you won’t lose your valuables if you bounce off the trail. The Woodsman is cut to fit inside your boot for durability and grip and has ample stretchiness for maximum mobility. It’s either a ‘touring pant you can trail-ride in,’ or a ‘trail-riding pant you can tour in,’ depending on your perspective.

The Woodsman takes design inspiration from ski touring and alpine gear. The first thing you’ll notice is that it’s ‘stretchy.’ Not just in a few small panels, but everywhere. To complement the stretchiness, we articulated the patterns for athletic riding, and for alternating between a seated and standing riding position. The Woodsman pants are comfortable enough that minimalists can use the Woodsman as their only pair of pants on a multi-day trip.

They work on the bike and off, around the fire, and out for a beer. Dust and dirt are the only things that will give them away as riding pants. The Woodsman’s in-boot design allows you to grip the bike directly with your boot – without pinching fabric in the middle – which is how the bike-makers and boot-makers intended it. That’s why you rarely see off-road racers in over-the-boot pants. Unlike most in-boot pants however, the Woodsman has a full-length inseam, so you won’t get that ‘moto-capri’ look when your boots come off.

With the Woodsman, we’re breaking free from the convention that you need to wear waterproof ADV gear all the time. In most sports, when the rain stops the rain gear comes off. With ADV, many riders wear waterproof gear in every type of weather regardless of whether it’s raining or not. Even in the desert with no chance of rain, we see ADVers in head-to-toe waterproof clothes, trying to manage their heat problems in all sorts of creative ways. With the Woodsman, when the rain stops you can take off your rain gear and continue your trip in a stretchy, more breathable, more comfortable pant.

The Woodsman takes a hybrid approach to water management. The thighs and butt are fully waterproof with a 3-Layer Schoeller softshell, while the crotch and calves are membrane-free for maximum breathability. All the seams are taped, and the entire pant is treated with a Durable Water Repellant (DWR) coating, so light water beads up at the surface. There’s just enough water repellency for stream crossings, muddy puddles, dewy brush, and light rain, without causing heat problems on the rest of the ride.

We call the Woodsman a ‘90% pant,’ because 90% of the time it’s exactly what you need. In full-frontal rain, the Woodsman pairs with a packable over-the-boot rain layer like the Rak Overpant
