Extended the riding season

I use these as layer under my sport bike leathers, and in my very cold office at work. Love the weight and feel, a great addition to my active clothes wardrobe.

Great warm bottom base layer

Bought these for the LA-Barstow to Vegas ride and the cold morning starts they kept me warm and I was able to wear them the entire ride without getting over heated in the afternoon. Even though they zip off easily without taking off your boots they were just more comfortable left on the whole day.

Warm layer

Great to finally have a zip off layer for cold morning hikes. Then can zip off once it warms up.

The Perfect Mid Layer

I purchased these along with the matching Top and I couldn't be more pleased. I've worn both on several rides and they perform exactly as I'd hoped.

My favorite two features are 1] the boot-length legs as these don't need to be tucked into a boot and 2] the ability to remove them with the side zippers without having to take off your boots and riding pants.

I wear these as a mid-layer between Klim Marakesh riding pants and a Klim base layer on the coldest of days (low 40s *F) and they keep me perfectly warm. In my opinion motorcycle gear is perfect if I never have to think about it and it doesn't distract me from riding. These are perfect for my needs.

Yes, I would recommend to a friend and I will also buy again.

The Strata Merino Zip-off Thermal Bottom is the long john you never knew you needed. It brings a new era of innovation to your ADV layering kit.Full-length separating side zips allow you to easily de-layer without removing your boots or pants. No more sacrificing comfort for convenience. No more dancing out of your pants when things heat up. Just drop your trousers and unzip the base layer to remove them trailside. So quick and easy you might even be able to get them off (or on) before your buddies catch up.

Temperatures can swing wildly on any adventure. Cold mornings turn into hot days on trail. And hot days turn quickly into cold nights when the sun ducks out of sight. Adding or removing a layer in these situations is a no-brainer, but who wants to stop the ride to pull off your boots, dance out of your pants, and adjust your layers. All too often we sacrifice comfort to avoid these tedious moments. The Strata Merino Zip-off Thermal Bottom’s full-length leg zippers, over armor fit, and above the boot design allow you to quickly and easily shed or add layers without removing your boots and outer pant.

The Strata Merino Zip-off Thermal Bottom is constructed using Nuyarn® technology, a lightweight, incredibly comfortable, and durable blend of Merino wool and nylon. By removing the twist of the yarns and drafting the fibers over a nylon core, Nuyarn® has produced a fabric with higher stretch and recovery, better moisture management, greater warmth, and increased durability than traditional Merinos. It culminates to an itch-free, moisture-wicking, and naturally odor-resistant material to take the edge off in cool conditions.
