We spent two+ years developing the Hood, testing every type of waterproof closure we could find. We needed something simple and strong enough for a tank bag, that will continue working even after thousands of uses in dusty, abusive conditions. We even spent 6 months experimenting with kayak hatches. The hatches turned out to be a bit of a rabbit hole, but they gave us the idea for the Hood.
The Hood achieves it’s waterproofing through a welded-seam, waterproof clamshell lid (we call it a ‘hood’) that rests on an equally waterproof, welded-seam base. The hood pushes against a strip of piping that runs 360 degrees around the base. There’s a rain gutter just below the piping that stops any water that tries to work its way up the sides. We even tested it with a pressure washer at the car wash, and everything inside stayed bone-dry!
The inside of the Hood features a large, open main compartment, with two removable sewn-seam wallets for things like cables, headphones, batteries, and credit cards. There’s a charging cable and headphone pass-through port, so you can connect your phone and electronic accessories directly to the battery.
On the top of the Hood you’ll find plenty of MOLLE webbing, which fits the included MOLLE compatible waterproof map pocket. If you don’t need the map pocket, the MOLLE webbing also works great for a cell phone case, multi tool, or first aid kit instead.

Product Creation at Mosko is an effort born of necessity. Everyone on our team rides – and time on the trail translates to an innovative, always improving product line. Crafting gear that will outperform in even the most harsh riding conditions means we make no compromise, ever.
I purchased this to use in my 2010 BMW GSA. I tried Tank bags from 3 other manufacturers, and did not like the fit, finish and more importantly the look on my bike. All others tried created intrusion into
The riding space I needed, especially in a standing position.
The thought put into this bag is thorough, and the ease of access is excellent. Especially one handed if need be. The mounting straps are an excellent design, but I had to be very creative when attaching the rear straps to my bike. This is no fault of the Mosko team, just the final design by German engineers of its product.
5 liters is ample space for phones, wires, and other small doo dads. The two Velcro pockets are perfect for organization within the bag also.
Riding season is right around the corner here in the Northeast. I am looking forward to hitting the road with Mosko’s goods on my bike!!

I spent a lot of time looking for a tank bag for my Honda CRF250 Rally. The Hood bag can be placed fully forward against the handlebars without affecting the steering at all and it matches the width of the seat/tank perfectly. When you're standing and giving the bike some knee action, it's as if the bag isn't even there. Really well thought out bag with plenty of volume. So happy to have picked this. I attached some pics for you top get a sense of how it fits
