    Backcountry Brush Guards are like skid plates for your panniers. From sagebrush to sticks, and the occasional gravel slide, the fronts of your bags see a ton of abuse off-road. Constructed from 1680D ballistic nylon, with foam padding and a Hypalon abrasion layer, these Brush Guards will extend the life of your Backcountry Panniers.

    DESIGN

    Integrated webbing pass-throughs protect the front compression straps, and reinforced side overlaps prevent branches from catching on the beavertails. Designed to work with or without a front Auxiliary Pocket, Brush Guards can be mounted on any aux-pocket-compatible Backcountry Panniers. One size fits all.

    Sold in pairs. Hardware included.

    FITMENT & ASSEMBLY
    • Mounted to the front panel of the Backcountry 25L or 35L pannier, via existing aux pocket fastener holes.
    • May be installed with or without a front aux pocket.
    • Note: Utilizes front row of MOLLE webbing on bottom of bag.

    I failed to properly attach a bag and after a bounce and skid down the highway it held up very well.

    Awesome Protection

    I ride hard off road which means riding in tight areas with branches and other bits of nature's weaponry testing the protection these provide as well as the fact I have the occasional get off at low speeds.
    The brush guards do their job very well and are continually up to the task.
    buying a set of bags?- I highly recommend these.

    Crash tested!

    Lowsided at 25-30mph, slid about 40 feet on pavement. The bags (and rack) protected the bike. The brush guard got all the road rash and is still attached securely and functional.
