Reckless Replacement Leg Strap

This is a replacement leg strap for your Reckless 80L, 40L, 10L, and Trail 16 harness. If you have a Curve harness, you will need a V4. Please note if you need a V1-V3 strap or a V4 strap.
The strap includes a metal cam buckle for simple and secure cinching of the Reckless harness to your bike. The Velcro strap-keeper tidies any excess length, preventing it from flapping or getting chewed up.

Quickly replace an old strap by partially pulling out the aluminum bar located in the bottom of the leg holster, placing the loop around the bar, then returning the bar to the webbing loops. Finish by using the Velcro closure(s), ensuring a snug fit.

Quickly replace an old strap by flipping the sliplok buckle on edge (Located on the underside of the harness); angle it to work the buckle and the edge of the Hypalon/webbing materials back through the slot. A screwdriver or pliers help to get it through. The tolerance is tight, but this is so the straps do not accidentally fall out during off-road riding.
Sold individually for cost-effective replacement.

Strap is great, but the reason I had to buy two extras is because it wears out quickly against the frame. First one lasted 1500 miles. Needs to have anti-abrasion sleeve. I think it is the boot that rubs it against the frame and it shreds over time. 2025 Honda CRF450RL

I like the Moskomoto products and keep buying them because I am not sure that anything out there is better. A weak point in them is the straps that hold the lower part of the back to the motorcycle. They get chewed through pretty bad and have required multiple replacements. This part of their product needs improvement. Otherwise it does really well.

I have now had these bags in some pretty rough high passes and dumped my bike several times in the rocks. The bags look like new and show no damage at all! Truly tough bags.

Reckless leg strap
I damaged the strap on my exhaust side during last trip. I have the v3 which is out of stock. On a hunch I ordered the v4 and cut the end buckle off with a dremel. The bar fits through the v4 loop no problem! Could not be happier with all my gear!
