Backcountry Brush Guards are like skid plates for your panniers. From sagebrush to sticks, and the occasional gravel slide, the fronts of your bags see a ton of abuse off-road. Constructed from 1680D ballistic nylon, with foam padding and a Hypalon abrasion layer, these Brush Guards will extend the life of your Backcountry Panniers.

DESIGN

Integrated webbing pass-throughs protect the front compression straps, and reinforced side overlaps prevent branches from catching on the beavertails. Designed to work with or without a front Auxiliary Pocket, Brush Guards can be mounted on any aux-pocket-compatible Backcountry Panniers. One size fits all.

Sold in pairs. Hardware included.

Good 4 crashes later

I put these on my new 35L panniers on my 690 and they held up flawlessly on the Outback racks in four crashes. Nothing too fast, but decent crashes. Typical scratches but otherwise bulletproof.

Backcountry Brush Guards A perfect fit!

Easy installation and look great. Looking forward to getting up close and personal with some brush 😂

Crash tested!

Lowsided at 25-30mph, slid about 40 feet on pavement. The bags (and rack) protected the bike. The brush guard got all the road rash and is still attached securely and functional.

It’s all about quality.

I saw the product first hand at YYZ motorcycle show, and it was clear that Mosko Moto people they go above and beyond to create this product. I am looking forward to using their product for many years to come.
Keep up the good work guys!

They do protect!

I've had these on a single track trail SE of OKC a couple times on a R1200GS.

First time, riding buddy with a brand new set of Backcountry bags on a R1250GS was with me. It was clear that the brush guards were taking the beating and deflecting the mud and sand instead of the bags.

Second time, there were a lot of drops in the sand. Riding through some high and dry prairie grass as well as lots of whacks from scrub oaks, it was clear the brush guards were taking a beating. More than I realized. Basically, the brush guards kept the bag from taking the brunt of abuse.

If you like using the full width of MOLLE panels on the front of the Backcountry bags, these may not be something you want to consider. You will lose a fair amount of your MOLLE grid because these do cover over them. If you have the auxiliary pockets (Aux Pox 4L or 5L) on the front, the brush guards will work in conjunction with them.

There is a horizontal strip of plastic material about a 1/3 down from the top of the guard to provide shape structure. It works, but if your bag is not fully stuffed, they will stick out a bit.

I purchased them in silver and was not expecting them to be reflective. The silver is not super reflective, but does shine back and should provide you a little extra attention when traveling via paved roads late at night that also occupied by vehicles with more wheels than your motorcycle.
