Almost perfect

Great system for day rides or full camping trips. Just wish they would’ve designed it so the straps for extra gear in the middle were front to back instead of side to side. Seems like that would be an obvious thing but hey I’m no designer so maybe there’s a reason I’m not thinking of.

Good not great

The Apecat itself is very comfortable, breathable, and along with the front pouch very useful. It keeps the weight off your shoulders and back well. My complaint would be with the 3l bladder you loose out on most of the main pocket capacity. If you only fill it to 1.5-2l the pocket is still useable. But I bought this for the large water capacity in a waist belt type rig. I was searching for one with more than a 1.5l capacity. If it was updated to hold the full 3L bladder and still the full rear pocket it would be great but then I’d be out another $300.

Perfect for moto and fly fishing!

I'm loaded with Mosko gear for moto, but took up fly fishing as well, and this is the absolute best rig on the market for fly fishing. Better than Orvis, Fishpond, Simms, Dryft, .... all of em, because I have most of them. My only small desire is to actually seal the seams, as I do tend to wade as deep as hits the bottom of the pack, and it will seep in a bit. But it's all stuff that can get wet, just would prefer it doesn't. Great work, design is incredible, quality is incredible.

Apecat 9

This is the gear I needed. I run hot and I like my Wildcat backpack but I would be a pile of sweat in hot weather. Apecat has made hot rides so much more enjoyable. Ample storage and 3 liters of water makes this my favorite ride pack. Construction is very substantial, you can't go wrong with this rig. RC

Honestly it kicks ass

I use apecat primarily for hard enduro riding, so it sees a ton of abuse, which it takes without batting an eye, 3L of water is great for those super long brutal 5 or 6 hour rides and the modularity means I can easily pare down if I don’t need to bring nearly as many snacks or human fuel for my ride. In the super rough stuff I don’t even notice I’m wearing it. When I first tried it on I was worried the side pouches would make it feel too wide or interfere when riding, but in practice I never noticed or even bumped into them even during super rough riding and technical trails maneuvers. The open back also means your jersey can still flow air. 15/10 this thing rules.
