Tool Roll Rain Covers

size

If you did not purchase a Rain Cover with your Fatty or Pinner Tool Roll and would like to purchase one now, then this page is for you.

Is there another waterproof tool roll out there? If so, we haven't seen it. We offer the Fatty & Pinner Tool Rolls with a highly abrasion-proof, welded-seam, waterproof rain cover. Tools are heavy and hard, and they press and vibrate against everything they touch, so the rain cover has got to be tough. This one is tough as nails, and it doubles as a trailside parts tray. If you’re riding in the desert and don’t need the rain cover, no problem: reduce bulk by leaving the rain cover at home and taking only the tool roll itself.

Nice Tool Bag Needs A Couple of Improvements

I already had my own tool kit, but was looking for a way to attach it to my fender. I dismissed a competitor's solution because it uses plastic fender clips and the kind of elastic material that wears out quickly over time. This bag comes with what appear to be Mosko Moto branded "pronghorn" straps, which are great. I've had one of these "temporarily" holding my battery in my dual sport for some time now. However, the bag needs two more things for it to work in the way intended. Perhaps the next version will come with these, be sure to add these yourself before heading out into the wilderness with tools strapped to your fender:

1. The makers of pronghorn straps also make metal fender clips. Use 4 of these in conjunction with the provided straps to securely attach the bag to your fender.

2. Although the bag will be secured tightly to the fender after cinching down with the included straps and the procured fender clips, the bag will still come off as soon as the going gets rough. To prevent this you must also attached the bag to the front of the motorcycle using the loop at the end of the bag. This is to prevent the bag from sliding back and forth along the fender, which it will do if not secure.

To improve this product Mosko should include the 4 metal fender clips and something to better secure the end of the bag to the motorcycle. Until they do, plan to budget another $40 or so to complete the job yourself as the needed clips and additional pronghorn strap are not cheap. Once attached securely, the bag is great and I would take it through anything without too much worry!

Keep your tools dry

I am using the Tool Roll Rain Cover with my own tool bag, but really wanted something to keep them dry without having to put them in the overall dry bag — always want to get to those tools fast without having to unpack everything else. This rain cover is perfect for any tool bag. It comes in two sizes, I just needed the smaller one, which is still plenty big.

We're so glad you're enjoying the tool roll cover. Its definitely convenient to not have them buried in a pannier!
