The Deluge is our ultralight, packable, waterproof/breathable rain layer. It integrates seamlessly into the Basilisk, for added protection in a multi-day storm. Stuff it in your backpack for day rides, or bring new life to an old ADV suit that isn’t as waterproof as it once was. It works on the bike or around camp, and neatly stashes in its own pocket for storage.
When you’re traveling through several days of continual, driving rain, an old ADV trick is to layer two completely waterproof garments: one on the outside to break the water’s speed and momentum, and one on the inside (the Deluge jacket) to complete the seal.
The Deluge also works great as an ‘Oh Sh*t’ jacket for your dirt bike. It packs small enough to live full-time in a backpack or tailbag: it’s so small and light that you’ll forget it’s there until you need it. It has two hand pockets, a chest pocket, and a removable hood that fits comfortably under your helmet when the weather turns cold and wet.
What distinguishes the Deluge from the thousands of cheapo rain suits available in every sporting goods store? It's all in the materials. The Deluge’s main body is an eVent Alpine 3-Layer fabric with direct-venting, rated at 20,000mm on the water column (67 feet of pressure), 20,000 g/m/d MVTR, and 0.1cfm air permeability. When you put it on, you’ll feel the difference.
My new Deluge Jacket came in the mail at the perfect time. We had a torrential downpour at our house where our window wells were filling with water. I pulled out the new jacket and it worked perfectly. No wetness inside, nor did I get any sweating moisture. The jacket has a hood that really fits nicely around the face and bill of the hood is the perfect size, just enough to shed water, but not so big it gets in the way. The fit was just true to size and really is comfortable to wear. I like how the pocket is reversible and becomes a bag for the jacket to stow. There are only two changes I’d like to see… first it would be nice if the hood would just roll up into the collar instead of zipping off, but this is not a biggie. However, the phone pocket is a little small, my iPhone XR with a small case will not fit in the pocket. If I take the case off, it barely fits. I’m sure this is just the issue of designing and manufacturing a product long before the phones started getting bigger. Overall, I give the Deluge a enthusiastic two thumbs up and it's my go to jacket on and off the bike.
I recently purchased Mosko’s new Deluge pant and jacket combo and as usual with Mosko Moto products, I am very impressed. I fit the products to their sizing chart and I am happy to report that the products fit perfectly over my riding gear. Although I haven’t had them in the rain yet but the quality of the cut, condition of the seams, and their compact nature should make them an excellent addition to my travel attire. There is no doubt that Mosko has continued to raise the bar when it comes to the quality and mindfulness of the products they are delivering to the motorcycling community. Great job guys, keep up the great work.
Another great product from Mosko Moto, the fit and quality is outstanding. Anyone that would like to email me direct with questions,, feel free to drop me a note.
