"I like to go fast, I'm not afraid of heights, and I have this curious tendency to find out what my limitations are and if I can grow past them."
I've always been a rough-and-tumble kind of gal. I like to go fast, I'm not afraid of heights, and I have this curious tendency to find out what my limitations are and if I can grow past them. With that in mind, I have found my life to be filled with the kind of adventure that has led me to ask "what else is out there?" I've been searching for the answer to that question since the thought came to be at a very young age. It started with horses and snowboarding, then extended to rock climbing, which led to a career of organized sports through public school, circled back to rock climbing, and have since added a passion for two wheeled goodness like mountain biking and motorbiking. Ultimately, as it turns out, my desire is to experience the outdoors in all its glory, no matter the method.
I've grown to love motorbikes over the last couple of years for their undeniable sense of freedom - but not easy freedom. There's the maintenance and the packing and the tools and the planning and the "oh sh*t" moment when you realize you actually can't carry 5 gallons of water like you can in a car. It's this puzzle that drew me in and it's the action-packed adventure through jaw-dropping wilderness that will keep me around to stay.
Through all this exploring, I have also developed a keen sense for the wild folks. They typically harbor the same tenacity as I for the good ol' suffer-fest. When all is said and done, it's the inter-connectedness and humble-grit that I appreciate most about this sort of person and oi! lucky me when I say I found an entire company full of them. Albeit small, I am honored to be a part of a team that lives, breathes, and acts on these very principles.
And, In case you're wondering, despite my deepest of efforts, I've not yet found the answer to "what else is out there" … Suffice it to say, it's likely I'll die happy not knowing.
