The Reckless 10 is a storage solution for small and midsized thumpers. The Reckless 10 can radically transform your trail-riding experience, by taking all the weight of tools, tubes, snacks, jacket, and extra fuel out of your backpack and off your back, and transferring it to the bike instead. You’re still carrying all the weight either way, but now it’s on the bike, and not weighing you down.
The side legs of the R10 harness come with two RF welded-seam drybags, which are completely impervious to water. If it rains heavily, or if you drop your bike in a water crossing, you don’t have to worry about a bunch of rusted tools or a water-logged camera. You can also replace one of the side bags with a large MOLLE pouch, and store a hydration reservoir for drinking water instead.
With the R10, you can also extend your range by providing a spot to carry up to 5 extra fuel bottles: 4 in the harness, one in an optional add-on MOLLE bottle holder on the exhaust side of the bike. The fuel bottles slide directly into the harness, and connect to each other with a leash (the leash is provided on the bottom of the R10 drybag). This is an easy and relatively inexpensive way to extend your range without purchasing a large aftermarket desert tank.
The removable beavertail in the center of the R10 harness is perfect for a rolled up windbreaker or rain jacket. The clips that attach it are gated, so you can remove the beavertails, or you can re-orient them to run perpendicular to the bike if you want to add in a third drybag for extra storage capacity. A Tracker 10, Stinger 8, or large MOLLE pouch fits great here.
The Tracker 10 includes two mounting cleats, which can be bolted to the rear fender of the bike, providing a convenient lash point for the rear connection straps. For a more permanent and secure mounting option, you can also drill directly through the harness and mount it directly to the rear fender (this will not void your warranty).
a) Every Reckless system comes with an included heat shield. Please use the heat shield!Exhaust and exhaust heat burns are not covered by your warranty. Before you leave for your trip, we recommend checking and double checking that no part of the bag or your bike's plastics are contacting the exhaust. On dual-exhaust bikes or bikes with especially high/exposed pipes, you will need a second heat shield, which is available for purchase in the 'Hardware & Parts" section of our website. When installing the Reckless system on your bike, please make sure the exhaust is not blowing directly on the bag. In general, make sure the bag is not touching or close to extreme heat; go physically around the bag daily, cinch it tight, and make any necessary adjustments.
b) The Reckless systems were designed for rugged riding. They have a durable hypalon and ballistic nylon backing that can rub against the plastic parts of the bike, resulting in minor abrasion. Please take precautions if you do not want your bike parts marred by placing a clear adhesive sheet to where abrasion may occur on your motorcycle. Some examples of protective products are listed below. We suggest taking a short test ride with protection applied and with a loaded Reckless installed on the bike to assure satisfactory results.
c) There are many "wear points" on the Reckless system that are different on every bike. See this videofor examples. These could be on the bottom of the bag - where the harness touches the bike or luggage rack - or on the drybags themselves, where they contact the harness, tent poles, or other items. After your first day or two of riding, please inspect the bags carefully, identify high-friction wear points, and either remedy the friction or apply a sacrificial 'patch' that can be periodically replaced before the bag itself is damaged. In particular, it is normal for the fabric on the bottom of the harness to show wear, and this does not affect the structural integrity of the bag nor its waterproofing.
Product Creation at Mosko is an effort born of necessity. Everyone on our team rides – and time on the trail translates to an innovative, always improving product line. Crafting gear that will outperform in even the most harsh riding conditions means we make no compromise, ever.
My first Mosko QC test was with the v1 35L Back Country panniers on my GS 800. They were bullet proof so when we started looking for the perfect setup for our smaller bikes, KTM 450 EXC and KTM 530 EXC, we naturally turned to Mosko for the solution.
I purchased the R10 to expand my fuel capacity (because my tank is a tiny little thing) and give me enough room to pack for a quick motocamping trip.
The install was quick and, relatively, painless.
I carry (2) 1L MSR fuel bottles, my tools, extra layers, and snacks in the dry bags.
The MOLLE expandability makes it easy to customize and add extra gear for longer trips.
The bags are waterproof, durable and stay in place.
I can’t recommend this system highly enough.
We’re buying the R40 for some extended motocamping trips that we have planned for this fall.
Do yourself a favor and buy a Mosko luggage system. You won’t regret it!
Awesome bags. Great way to lighten the load on you back. I liked mine so much I bought another set for my best bud and riding partner!
Ein super Produkt, gleich beim auspacken zu spüren das es sich hierbei um Qualität handelt die dem Preis mehr als gerecht wird. Alle Gurtbänder an der richtigen Stelle und genial verstaut. Jeden Euro wert!
Just returned from a 805 mile forest road loop from Bend to the Oregon coast on my KTM 500 equipped with Reckless 10 saddlebags, Stinger 8 tailbag and Pico tank bag. Was able to fit all my gear plus 2 bottles of fuel with this set up and everything worked great. 58774726367__72019643-0A62-46D3-ACCA-698043E08057.JPG
My husband has the 40L luggage system so I thought I would try out the smaller bags for my 1975 xL125 for a Rubicon ride that we wanted to do. The bad system is so smart and seems very durable. It fit like a glove on my smaller bike, stayed tight during all the bumps/jumps/and crashes on the granite. The price is very comparable with the other small luggage systems out there- would definitely buy these again!!!
