Dress For The Slide

Took a nasty tumble while wearing my jacket and took a bad hit to the shoulder. I was lucky the armor took the brunt and was able to ride home. This really got me interested in the Forcefield EX-K. For one thing it offers far more protection as it covers more surface area then the armor in my jacket. I went by the sizing chart and I took a large. I am 6 ft tall 175 pounds with wide shoulders and it fit perfectly. The Elbow armor using the chart was a small and that also fit perfectly. Once I figured out all the velcro attachments and played around for a while the fit is excellent! Took the armor out of all of my jackets and they easily fit over the EX-K. Rode a few hundred miles on and off road and found it to be comfortable. I feel that if I was wearing this instead of my jacket with the armor I would have walked away unscathed from my get off. It just covers so much more surface area including my whole back and tailbone and even protects my chest and ribs. I hope I never have to test it again but if I do I feel I have a much better chance of riding out instead of hitting the SOS button on my Garmin. Also a shoutout to Jen from Mosko for her great customer service. The left side elbow I received came in damaged and she made the exchange seamless!

Forcefield EX-K

MM’s service was stellar, the armor shipped VERY quickly, and they are great with their communication. Although a small company, their price was very competitive, and actually in stock.

As for the item, it is certainly first rate. I am on the stout side at 5’10” and 240 pounds. The large size Forcefield fits a bit snug, but definitely fits. Tough zippers, stout stitching, and quality Velcro are all part of the package. The belt, which is a part of the package, serves as a kidney belt. I know Forcefield gear is not cheap, but their CE level 2 ratings are some of the best.

Works Great

Wore it for the first time, 430 miles each way, to and from the Giant Loop Rally and all over the routes while there.
At first I thought it felt way too bulky but with a bit of time and adjusting, I forgot I was even wearing it.
Haven't crashed it yet and don't want to, but if so and at my age, I think I made the right investment.
I'm 5'10", 170lbs and ordered size medium.
Now if Mosko Moto gets Basilisk jackets back in stock just long enough, I'll order one to wear over the harness. I think that'll work well.

El arnes es de muy buena calidad

SI bien el arnes es de muy buena calidad (hasta el momento como me tienen acostumbrados con sus productos) considero que me saca un poco de movilidad a mí, sobre todo cuando me encuentro haciendo off road.

Very Nice!

This is a very nice armor system. It is very easy to put on compared to some of the other jacket type armor systems. It feels a bit bulky at first, but is comfortable while riding and offers a great deal of protection. I'm 5'11, 185 pounds with a 42" chest. I normally wear size large in most things, but I ordered a medium based off of the sizing chart and it fits great.

Forcefield EX-K Harness FLITE +

Size Guide >
The EX-K Harness is our toughest CE Level 2 upper body armor protection system. It’s reinforced with Kevlar® thread for added strength, and features multiple adjustment points for layering and versatility. The EX-K uses energy absorbing Nitrex Evo® material, which is soft and flexible, while offering consistent protection through multiple impacts.

Body armor is very personal: you have to find the kit that fits your specific body shape and riding style. For us, this is it. We love the Forcefield ADV harness because it’s simply the best moldable, soft-armor pressure suit we’ve ever seen. There’s nothing else like it. You can wear this kit for years on both singletrack and ADV trips, crashing over and over in it, and simply spraying it off with a hose when it’s dirty.

In that brief second of awareness when you realize you’re flying over the handlebars: this is the armor you’ll be glad to have on.
