Incredibly well thought out product!!!

I'm not a moto guy but was lucky enough to stumble on the Mosko site looking for this specific product. My use for these is backcountry skiing. Pretty much the same use case as you moto guys: cold in the mornings, start sweating as the day heats up and you get moving, with the added extremes of winter. For years I've dealt with this conundrum: I want to start out with long underwear on under my ski touring shells but once I'm working up hill and the sun comes out, I'm sweating like a bastard. My choices were always either continue to sweat for hours or freeze in the morning. This would be a $150-200 product if one of the outdoor rec companies (Patagonia, Icebreaker, Smartwool, etc.) made it. Nice job guys! I've already spread the word to some skiing friends.

VERY HIGH QUALITY , EXTREMELY HAPPY WITH THESE UNIQUE ZIP-OFFS!!!

The Strata Merino Zip-Off Thermal Bottom was purchased for my son who serves as a Captain Paramedic. I almost ordered another similar product, then researched the reviews in depth. The other product had many liabilities within the structure & comfort of their zip-off thermal bottoms. I'm very glad I read ALL the reviews for their product, because I was just about ready to click on the order. After reading their reviews, I took a much needed break, however was diligent in my search for good quality, warm & comfortable Zip-Off Thermal underwear for my sons Christmas gift. Things really turned around when I found the Strata Merino Zip-Off Thermal Bottoms website. The video was VERY HELPFUL in my descension making. I could picture my son, on the job & needing to remove these zip-offs with ease!! Upon reading all POSITIVE reviews, my mind was made up. The huge bonus is that the Strata Merino Zip-Off Thermal Bottoms were about $30.00 cheaper which surprised me. My son is very pleased with this product & was amazed with the zip-off unique feature, which makes life much easier for him on & off the job. He especially likes the Velcro tabs on each side of the zip-off bottoms, which aides when he layers up. They are warm enough for the brutal Kansas weather which is very unpredictable- Freezing in the morning & warm in the afternoon!! Thank You "Mosko" for your AMAZING STRATA MERINO ZIP-OFF THERMAL BOTTOMS, and the VIDEO on your website. I'll be a returning customer in the near future , perhaps for myself this time!!

Great bottoms

Started a ride at about 30 degrees wearing these and kept me warm and dry. Very easy to remove once got into the 50s. Great value and very versatile.

Brilliant piece of base-layer

I've long worn Merino bottoms as a base layer, but it's often a guessing game of whether to wear them or to just suffer for a bit on those days where it's cool in the morning but warm in the afternoon. And now that I'm in Colorado, I often see summer days that start off nice and end up with cold weather and rain. The self-packing Strata is easily carried on the bike and the full-zip ease of donning/doffing the bottoms without removing my pants and boots means I am always ready to quickly adapt to changing weather. Yes, base-layers are not usually the most exciting thing to talk about, but these are a serious game changer for the all-seasons moto adventurer.

Strata Merino Zip-Off Thermal Bottom

Size Guide >
The Strata Merino Zip-off Thermal Bottom is the long john you never knew you needed. It brings a new era of innovation to your ADV layering kit.Full-length separating side zips allow you to easily de-layer without removing your boots or pants. No more sacrificing comfort for convenience. No more dancing out of your pants when things heat up. Just drop your trousers and unzip the base layer to remove them trailside. So quick and easy you might even be able to get them off (or on) before your buddies catch up.

Temperatures can swing wildly on any adventure. Cold mornings turn into hot days on trail. And hot days turn quickly into cold nights when the sun ducks out of sight. Adding or removing a layer in these situations is a no-brainer, but who wants to stop the ride to pull off your boots, dance out of your pants, and adjust your layers. All too often we sacrifice comfort to avoid these tedious moments. The Strata Merino Zip-off Thermal Bottom’s full-length leg zippers, over armor fit, and above the boot design allow you to quickly and easily shed or add layers without removing your boots and outer pant.

The Strata Merino Zip-off Thermal Bottom is constructed using Nuyarn® technology, a lightweight, incredibly comfortable, and durable blend of Merino wool and nylon. By removing the twist of the yarns and drafting the fibers over a nylon core, Nuyarn® has produced a fabric with higher stretch and recovery, better moisture management, greater warmth, and increased durability than traditional Merinos. It culminates to an itch-free, moisture-wicking, and naturally odor-resistant material to take the edge off in cool conditions.
