These two-piece straps quickly connect to the bike using lanyard loops, and they also have adjustable-length tails, so they'll work on everything from a large high capacity duffle to a small pannier topper. They include strap keepers, so your excess strap lengths won't flap around in the wind, and the cam buckle has a webbing backing to prevent damage to the bag/bike.
We designed these straps to function as an emergency tow strap if you have a breakdown (put the rear duffle on your back, worn as a backpack, and use the straps to tow) or an emergency tie-down system if you have to load your bike in the back of someone's truck in a pinch. Check out the product video to see how it works.
Please keep in mind that the towing/tie-down feature is meant for emergency use only. These straps should not be considered your primary tow & tie-down solution. The weakest point in the system is the aluminum ladder-lock buckle, therefore, when towing heavy bikes through rough terrain, do not use the part of the strap with the ladder-lock and cam buckle on it. Instead, combine the two webbing-only parts of the straps to make a single longer tow strap. Same principle when using them as emergency tie-downs: for best results, do not crank them as tight as you would a standard motorcycle tie-down.
As usually another well thought out piece of equipment. These straps are tough and high quality. Many years of happy hard adventure ahead.
The Backcountry Cinch Straps are solid. These will not fail and that gives me tons of confidence when riding off-road.
My order was quickly dispatched and just about as fast it went missing, never to be seen again.
Mosko Moto without hesitation sent a new order with a gift of a pair of cinch straps.
I absolutely love Mosko products and these straps are absolutely the best on the market for securing gear to your bike.
I’m so happy that a company like this exists! The design of the Backcountry 40 and the large Molle bag is sublime. Gorgeous craftsmanship and completely bombproof. Just love this stuff.
