Awesome Jacket

Just got back from a few days in Baja with the Basilisk Jacket and loved it. When you first put the jacket on it seems huge but when seated and with a few layers it all makes sense. 100% waterproof tested and no leaks anywhere. Also, breathable but still manages to stop the cold air. My only gripe is that they didn't include pockets for armor as an option.

Waterproof and well made jacket

Spotted this new brand at the NEC Birminham Nov 2021. Loved the quality and bought the matching trousers and jacket. Very good quality product but it is not cheap. BE CATREFUL. product was priced in £ but I had to transact in Euros and my bank only gave me 1.15 euros to the pound not the 1.18 it said on Google. This added another £80 to my bill. Product was delivered promptly and efficiently.

Awesome Jacket But Didn't Fit Right

Very well made jacket. Higher quality build than the Klim jackets I've owned. Bummed it didn't fit right. Very tight in the armpits but loose and bulky outside the shoulders / upper arms. Return process was easy though. Maybe next generation will fit right.....

Basilisk jacket 1st impression

A guide in Moab turned me on to Mosko Moto gear and bags . So I ordered the 30L duffle . I have used that for about a year. That thing is built like a tank and functions perfectly.
I just received my Basilisk gear fora trip to Iceland. I have to say , it’s a great feeling when you put your hands on a very expensive product, and you are way pumped you bought it. No disappointment or buyer’s remorse with Mosko Moto gear. This Jacket is like rhino hide , with insane quality zippers . It looks and fits great. I can’t wait to test it out in Iceland .

Basilisk Jacket

Size Guide >

Refined for our third round of production, the Basilisk is our waterproof/breathable enduro-touring kit, for long-distance, multi-day trips through primarily off-road terrain. It combines super-premium materials with clean lines and minimalist design. With an articulated fit for freedom of motion and easy layering, the Basilisk is designed to work with separate armor systems for superior protection and versatility. It packs smaller than a traditional ADV jacket, for stashing on your bike when things get hot.

The Basilisk is incredibly waterproof and incredibly breathable. The body fabric is a highly abrasion-resistant eVent Expedition 3-layer, using eVent's proprietary direct venting technology. It's waterproof to 30,000mm on the water column (100 feet of water pressure), with an MVTR of 10,000 g/m/d, .06cfm air permeability, and DWR. It's the only waterproof moto jacket on the market that also has air permeability, plus it has the highest waterproof ratings of any moto jacket we've ever seen.

In high abrasion areas like the shoulders, back, and elbows, we added SuperFabric ceramic platelets on a 600D waterproof/breathable base, sewn as an overlay on the main body eVent for added strength. With double-layer fabric, you can crash repeatedly and still stay dry. Our zippers are top-of-the-line water repellent YKK Vislon Aquaguard: they won't clog with dust and grime, and they're easy to operate one-handed with gloves.

The Basilisk jacket is our full-throated endorsement of separate body armor for extended enduro-touring trips, where integrated armor is a pain. If you've never used separate body armor, here are the reasons we love it:

  • Temperature Management: Riding hard in a hot climate with separate armor, you can remove your jacket without losing your protection. On a hot day riding offroad in the desert, taking your jacket off is a game-changer.
  • Impact Protection: Separate armor has better coverage, and holds the pads closer to your body, so they're exactly where they need to be in a crash. Armor pads suspended loosely in the hanging liner of a motorcycle jacket are insufficient for riding off-road.

The jacket that accomplishes its mission with the least features, is best. That's the Basilisk. It's light, nimble, and breathable, with the basic pockets and vents you need and nothing else. We eliminated hanging liners entirely, reducing weight, bulk, and heat. There are two external and two internal pockets, with six substantial vents placed strategically for maximum airflow.
